This month’s featured game is ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley!

On the surface, it’s a simple farming simulator — you inherit your grandpa’s old farm and set out to restore it to its former glory. But what starts as planting a few parsnips quickly blossoms into an endless world of possibilities.
Farming, fishing, mining, cooking, raising animals, decorating, dating, exploring; it’s one of those easy to learn, hard to master games that’ll keep you saying “just one more day” until it’s suddenly 2 AM.

My favourite part of Stardew Valley isn’t the farming — it’s the NPCs. The characters bring so much life and depth to the game that it stops feeling like a farm sim and starts feeling like a real little world you’re part of. It’s a layer of life and heart that most games don’t even come close to.
And yes, it has co-op! On the rare nights when my friends from school and I actually line up our schedules, we hop on to farm, fish, and cause a little chaos. It’s pure cozy fun, even when someone accidentally scythes all the crops.

Tips & Tricks
- Don’t stress about optimizing your farm right away. Your first year is for learning and exploring.
- You can dance at the Flower Dance your first year… but only if you’ve built enough friendship hearts with an NPC.
- Check the TV every morning. It gives you valuable weather and fortune updates.
- Visit the Saloon on Fridays! It’s the perfect chance to see and give gifts to multiple NPCs at once.
- The Stardew Wiki is an incredibly helpful source for this game if you want to achieve perfection.

Overall, Stardew Valley easily earns its spot as my Game of the Month — and honestly, one of my favourite games of all time.
